Hello, everyone! It is beary cold where I live and I’m not able to travel right now. When it’s beary, beary cold, I just want to find a den to nap in but today, I’m going to tell you about one way you can travel without leaving the town or city you live in! You can go to the public library and find a book about a place you would like to visit! When you read about far away places, you can imagine that you are really there! I found this wonderful book about Australia where some of my cousins live. I would definitely like to visit my family in Australia and see a kangaroo or maybe visit Mindil Beach in the Northern Territory! Where would you like to travel? Hello, friends! I haven’t travelled since my last blog but I did the next best thing! I visited some of my Australian cousins by video chatting with them! Here you can see Christina, Annie, Mima and Sadie on their couch! They were just telling me all about their day and sitting down to have a cuppa tea. It’s summer time in Australia now and it’s beary warm. I was telling them all about how cold it’s been here in northern British Columbia. I also told them all about the book that was written about me and my friends. They can’t wait to read the book themselves! I had so much fun visiting with my cousins even though they’re so far away. Hello, everyone! What a wonderful adventure we had today! We were all outside, bundled up in our toques and scarves, with our backpacks on…ready for anything! It was so beary lovely to be outdoors in the fresh air. We all climbed a tree together and we could see for miles! All we could see was snow and a special friend. Hello, friends! I had the most wonderful trip to Azouzetta Lake to view the Murray Range! They are the beautiful mountains behind me in this photo. The lake was frozen because it is winter here in Northern BC. It was not beary cold and the sun was shining which made me so happy! Do you have mountains close to your home? Have you ever wanted to climb to the top of a mountain? One day I would like to climb to the top of the Murray Range. Perhaps I will wait until summer! Hello, friends! We had a beary wonderful day outdoors! It has warmed up a lot so we were able to be outside to enjoy it. We tried out our new tent and we had a nice fire too! Even though it has warmed up, we all had to wear our toques and scarves when we were outside. Do you have warm outdoor clothing to wear in the winter? Hello, friends! It’s Valentine’s Day tomorrow and in Canada, we celebrate by giving our loved ones Valentine’s cards, chocolates or flowers on this beary special day. We have many other days throughout the year during which we celebrate or give gifts to our friends and family. I really love these pink flowers that Ian gave me! Hello, everyone! We decided to spend the long weekend together watching movies. It’s beary cold outside so staying indoors was a good idea! Tomorrow is a holiday in British Columbia. It’s Family Day! Hello, friends! Today I made the trek over to John and Kerr’s log cabin! I delivered a copy of the book that was written about us. They were so beary happy to see me. I think they’re going to enjoy reading the book at night time before bed. Do you like to read books before bedtime? It’s one of my favourite pastimes. Hello, friends! I went out into the forest today and found my friend the moose bedded down in the grass snoozing. I asked him if he would like me to read him a story and he said yes! I read, “Where’s My Moose?” to him and he loved it! We had a beary nice little chat afterwards and then I headed home. Do you read books to your animals friends? Hello, friends! I have some beary exciting news to share! Ian has a shiny, red truck now and he took us for a lovely drive in it this evening! He would like to take us all on a nice trip when the weather warms up. Maybe we will go hiking or camping at one of our favourite local forests! That would be so much fun! Hello, everyone! We sure had a colourful long weekend! We found these lovely eggs in all of our favourite colours and had a great group photo taken! It was beary fun! Hello, friends! It’s John and Kerr here! We’re going to be camping for the night and then climbing this huge rock face in the morning! We’re super excited to have the opportunity to enjoy the outdoors. We brought the teddy bears that Beth made for us so that we both get a good night’s sleep. Hello, everyone! We had so much fun climbing up the rock face! This was something we had planned to do when the weather warmed up and we’re so glad the snow has melted now. Spring is finally on it’s way! This climb was a big challenge for the two of us. The rock face was beary steep. Do you like to be challenged? What has been the biggest challenge or obstacle you’ve faced? Did you overcome it? Sometimes, when you face an obstacle in your life, the path that you were on might change. Hello, everyone! We had a beary exciting trip to the beach today! It was so much fun. David, Sarah and James played in the sand with their buckets and Ian found a giant gumball machine! Hello, everyone! We went for a hike today and heard a beary beautiful Black-capped Chickadee singing and saw the Peace River flowing by! We had so much fun! Hello, friends! Sarah and I are playing Frogger in my room! John and Kerr said we could borrow the game to play while they continue building and furnishing their log cabin.
